What is a Dragoon?

Dragoons originally were a class of mounted infantry who used horses for mobility but dismounted to fight on foot.  This allowed them to arrive at the decisive point of the battle, fresh, with the necessary resources to secure victory.

Modern Dragoons similarly deploy to battle mounted using armored vehicles such as Strykers, then dismount as infantry to defeat the threat.
